Member Support Coordinator - ACE Flagstaff

Critical Accountabilities:

  • Recruiting AmeriCorps members for the Southwest Division
  • Orienting new AmeriCorps members
  • Overseeing member housing
  • Conducting AmeriCorps evaluations
  • Providing overall member support

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt

Position Description:

The Member Support Coordinator is an office-based administrative position and works closely with all staff members within the ACE Outreach Department. The Member Support Coordinator will be responsible for meeting the recruitment, housing, and AmeriCorps Member management needs of ACE's Flagstaff Division. The Member Support Coordinator will be frequently interacting with ACE's AmeriCorps Members and the general public and as such is expected to maintain a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and willingness to act as an ambassador of ACE's program and brand at all times. The Support Coordinator will need to be flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic while working in a fast-paced office environment. Leadership and forward-thinking are important assets in this position as the Outreach Department will continue to evolve.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Member Management

  • AmeriCorps Orientation: ensure full AmeriCorps Orientation is delivered to every new Corps Member, ensure follow up items are completed on time
  • Lead ACE/AmeriCorps orientations
  • Member Management: ensure that all required Mid Term Evaluations and End of Term Evaluations are conducted with every member
  • Timesheet Compliance: ensure that member timesheets are reviewed for accuracy and timesheet compliance in a timely fashion while working with AmeriCorps members to submit those sheets regularly
  • Assist in managing Corps Member information in ACE's internal database
  • Assist other ACE staff to mentor and develop Corps Members into stewardship and leadership roles
  • Assist with AmeriCorps compliance and other enrollment duties
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Recruit and support ACE Southwest Corps Members
  • Conduct interviews utilizing the standard recruitment protocol and screen candidates from all backgrounds
  • AmeriCorps coordination: ensure consistent communication related to AmeriCorps program and numbers for every AmeriCorps grant being utilized with the ACE Outreach Department
  • Develop and maintain strong communication between ACE staff and all incoming and current Members
  • Network and develop partnerships with organizations/entities in the local community
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must have a strong comfort level speaking on the phone
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic comfort level with public speaking
  • Familiarity with basic office practices, file management, records maintenance
  • Must maintain a positive, constructive, and flexible work environment conducive to team dynamics
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, must have an insurable driving record
  • Must submit to a criminal background check prior to hire. reserves the right to require drug tests.
  • Able to legally work in United States.

Compensation:  Full-Time, 40 hours/week within a flexible schedule.  $17.10 per/hour with a benefits package that includes health, dental, vision and supplemental insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, designated holidays, and 401k retirement for qualified employees.
